About the role

We are looking for passionate supply chain manager at Railnova who resonates with the following:
• You want to become a supply chain team-leader and manage sourcing, supplier qualification, production, quality management, inventory management and demand-supply forecasting.
• You want to gain a 360° view over the complex electronics supply chain industry, in a human-size company that designs and markets innovative hardware products.
• Become outstanding in continuous improvement, business processes optimisation, and conduct several LEAN initiatives throughout the year.

At Railnova, we have internalised the production of PCB electronics and cables during Covid in 2020 and we now control all our production resources (see the video here). We have set up LEAN assembly lines building on the core principles of LEAN (single moving piece, reducing inventory, increasing flow, cutting down setup time, eradicating qualities issues early).

Our production is (relatively) low volume but high complexity, so you’ll have a chance to make a real difference by catching issues early, sitting down with the teams to make engineering and process improvements. As we design our electronics and cable products in house, the design-for-manufacturing loop is a real opportunity to iterate on cost, lead time, and quality.

The position requires solid analytical skills. Each problem has unique constraints regarding engineering, ERP and project data, quality, non-conformities, customer expectations, resources availability, suppliers lead times, costs. Using problem framing, reasoning, fact-checking, team working and explicit communication about the solutions, you’ll drive continuous improvements and ambitious improvement plans.

This position requires a physical presence on location/is not offered as a remote job.


This job requires you to have:
• A strong LEAN discipline with the capacity to explicit your reasoning to others and to design variation-resistant processes.
• Excellent English writing skills as most communication happens in writing at Railnova (with suppliers and with other teams).
• Excel skills that make others want to open your files and navigate your analysis.
• Hands-on approach for planning, reconfirmation, quality checks, procedure, and documentation.
• Functional ERP experience. Your ERP data is kept consistent and you implement self-checks to identify gaps in the data and resolve them.
• People leadership skills. First experience as a team manager is plus, but not a pre-requisite. Tell us why you would be a great team leader in your cover letter!
• Strategic capacity to implement your own reporting about deliveries, inventory, takt time, quality issues, missing items, production delays, to keep things in check and drive continuous improvement.
