This role is positioned in a new business segment called Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) following the completion of the acquisition with A. Schullman. This new segment includes LyondellBasell’s legacy polypropylene compounds (PPC) business and the A. Schulman assets, Catalloy and polybutene-1.

This is the role

As an S&OP Manager at LyondellBasell you will be providing leadership for the APS demand and supply planning team. You will deal with complex processes covering 25 plants, 200 different assets and 35.000 different products. As the primary business interface with the applicable counterparts from supply chain, manufacturing, and sales you are focused on short term execution and operational activities regarding the S&OP process.

You won’t do this alone. You will guide and coach your team of 8 specialist asset planners making sure they excel in their roles and develop themselves. Besides adapting, understanding, executing and improving the different S&OP processes we work with in Europe, we would like you to focus on the new team who has recently been formed. From that perspective one of your first targets is to create a collaborative environment focused on efficiency and inclusion.

This is what you bring

• MBA degree in business, science or engineering
• 5 years of experience in a S&OP managerial role
• Good technical understanding of the chemical market. Preferably with polyolefins/compounds products and applications
• Fluency in English required
