On December 15 & 16 2011 the second International Supply Management Congress will take place at the RAI in Amsterdam.

The congress will include inspiring speakers, new insights, practical examples and interaction, allowing participants to acquire knowledge, exchange experiences and define actions regarding sustainability and purchasing innovation. Therefore the congress can significantly boost sustainable value chains.

The first day focuses on corporate vision, research and early best practices from emerging economies for 2020. It is divided into three separate blocks of speakers. On the second day there are numerous workshops.

A wide view from Jason Clay, Senior Vice President Market Transformation of the World Wildlife Fund US, on how to preserve our planet, while feeding the growing population and allowing billions of people to live a better life. ‘Our goal is to figure out how to produce more with less land, less water and less pollution, so we won’t be the only species left living on this planet’.

13.00  The future is now.  Frontrunners in the Consumer Goods Forum. 

Three top executives of front running multinationals explore opportunities for future growth. Working together in the global Consumer Goods Forum they share knowledge and initiatives around key strategic priorities such as sustainability. After an extended introduction on the Consumer Goods Forum, innovative sourcing and cooperation strategies are explored in a plenary discussion led by the honourable chairman Jeroen Smit.
